The Next Gen AI Agent has Arrived: iBabyAGI

Explore iBabyAGI: AI Agent in the Palm of Your Hand”

Thank you so much for joining the Sparking Intelligence Community! Today, we’re hitting the ground running because we have a new kid on the block to introduce to you.

Announcing the New iBabyAGI!

Built by Nate Chan (@nathanwchan on Twitter), iBabyAGI is an iOS app powered by GPT4 that lets you run an autonomous agent directly from your iPhone.

Like other agents, it builds a task list, then marches through each task - compiling information and data until it provides a string of information that you can copy and save for your own use.

It’s impressive.

I have spent a lot of time testing AI agents like AutoGPT, BabyAGI, AgentGPT, Godmode, Cognosys, Aomni, and others. I’ve gone from completely mindblown when I first tried AutoGPT to overrun with frustration because I couldn’t get any tasks to complete. I’m sure a lot of you can relate.

Such is life for us early adopters.

But things are looking a little brighter every week, and iBabyAGI was a very welcome surprise.

With iBabyAGI, I’ve been able to complete MANY tasks without getting stuck in a loop!

I created a thread on it on Twitter, which you may have already seen. If not, here’s a link to a bunch of use cases that I filmed demos for just so you can see in real-time how I got these to work.

A bunch of people wanted the prompts for each of the use cases I posted, so here they are:

Code a website (Prompt):

You are WebDeveloper-GPT, an industry recognized web developer and web designer with expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Your task is to create a simple but beautiful website that displays "Hello World." Your code must be flawless and ready to execute with no breaks, and be as modular and concise as possible with as few code blocks as needed. All files must be linked together in the HTML code as needed for the site to function.

Conduct an SEO Analysis (Prompt):

Conduct an SEO analysis on sparkaiconsulting.com and provide SEO strategy recommendations to improve my rankings.

Create a travel itinerary (Prompt):

Create a detailed travel itinerary for my upcoming trip to Italy. I will be on a 2.5 week excursion visiting Florence, Venice, Tuscany, and Lake Como. My budget for the trip not including airfare is $3,000. Provide me with a list of activities, lodging options, experiences, and restaurants for my trip.

Create a personalized fitness plan (Prompt):

Develop a plan to gain muscle mass and reduce body fat for a woman [add age, weight, height] that enjoys weight lifting, swimming, and paddle boarding.

Develop a list of tools to automate sales prospecting (Prompt):

Give me a list of AI tools to automate sales prospecting.

Make a newsletter outline with AI trends related to ChatGPT4 and autonomous agents (Prompt):

Compile recent events in AI and develop an outline for a newsletter.

Write a Python script to send automated emails (Prompt):

You’re an accomplished Python, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript expert who writes flawless modular code effortlessly. Automating process, web development, web design, and artificially intelligence are your specialities, and you’re a recognized expert in the field. I need you to write concise and fully functional Python script in as few code blocks are required that sends automated emails from my Gmail account and works perfectly without needing to debug the code. My login credentials are as follows: username = [email] ; password = [password]

A Couple Things to Remember:

These prompts are intentionally simple so that we could get a demo to film. Try editing them to make the output more valuable for you specifically.

For the coding prompts, this code is very basic. If you are not a developer, ask ChatGPT4 how to use the code. For the website, you will have to retrieve the code from the output and copy and paste it into a file. ChatGPT can walk you through how to do all this step by step. Remember to copy and paste only the code and not the surrounding text into the file.

For the Python script to work, we had to enable Gmail API access and be logged into the associated Google account.

Be prepared to play around with it to get it to work.

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to watch AGI unfold before our eyes.

A few tips I wanted to pass along to you guys as you begin experimenting with iBabyAGI.

  • On average, contextually detailed prompts work best. At first, I was using simple prompts thinking that would make the tasks easier to complete. Then I realized these autonomous agents have to fill in all the blanks we leave out, which makes it more difficult to complete the task not less. If you need something specific, be specific. Write prompts the way you would for ChatGPT4. If you are not sure how to prompt, I do have a guide for that on Gumroad. We are working on a huge upgrade to it, too, and everyone who buys now will get that upgrade for no extra cost.

  • Try different prompts to test different outputs. Iterate! Don’t like what you got from one prompt? Alter it slightly and try again.

  • I am having better luck using GPT3.5 API instead of 4 so that’s what I recommend you use at least initially to test. Using 3.5 is highly cost-effective, fast and efficient. Using 4 has been a little buggy for me and also is slower and more costly.

I’m going to be compiling a lot more tips to get the most out of autonomous AI Agents like iBabyAGI, AutoGPT, et al., which I’ll include in future editions.

Have you found an interesting use case that helped you in some way? If so, send it to me! I’ll be choosing the best ones to be featured in the newsletter.

I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with! In the meantime, Happy Prompting!
